We're walking...we're walking...

I am proud to announce that Jack has FINALLY decided that walking upright is the way to go...it was honestly getting to a point where I thought we would have to take him to walking classes or something. With this new-found pleasure in walking has also come an obsession with trying to unplug every single lamp in the house and a fabulous new tendency towards temper tantrums. I always hoped Jack would receive David's much more laid-back outlook on life but it is starting to seem like he has inherited the Claymon temper, something I'm sure my parents would just say was the ultimate payback...However, it is so fun to see him toddle around the house--he's really into carrying stuff to David and me and loves to hide his blocks and sippy cup in various locations. I cracked up yesterday when he randomly took two of our shirts out of the laundry and decided that they belonged in HIS room...on the floor, of course. Truly a child after my own heart...

In non-Jack related news, I would like to take some time to rant about our dealings with what is obviously the world's worst car insurance company. About 2 months ago, I was hit in a Jack-in-the-Box parking lot by a giant SUV--while I was PARKED. We exchanged insurance information but, believing in the goodness of others, I didn't take pictures of the car or driver, ask for a driver's license, or find a witness who wasn't acquainted with me. If this ever happens to me again, I'll do all those things and more...I'll probably turn on the video recorder on my phone and tape the entire interaction. Long story short, the girl who hit me denied to her insurance company that it ever happened and refused to help them with their investigation. Basically, we were told by her insurance that they could do nothing and we would have to file with our insurance...which will make our premiums go up...for a wreck THAT WAS NOT MY FAULT IN THE LEAST. I am so frustrated over this--sure, it sucks if you hit someone with your car, but you don't deny that it ever happened! RRRRRRRRRRR....there, I feel better now.

On a more positive note, we're headed to Padre on Friday for a week at the beach...I'll update and post pics when we get back...
